William "Bill" Downey passed away at home Monday, June 17, 2024 at the age of 79 years.  Bill was born October 1, 1944; the son of Edwin Downey and his wife, Susie (Hawkins).

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Downey; his parents: Edwin Downey, and Susie Wagner and husband Raymond; three children: LaDonna Downey, Jimmy Downey, and Chris Downey; two grandchildren: Dustin Downey and Melissa Wilken; four brothers: Floyd Downey, Kenny Downey, Chris Downey, and Gene Wagner; and two sisters: Donna Eichler and Caroline Hemker.

He is survived by one son, Kevin Downey and wife Sheila of St. Clair; one grandson, Branden Wilken of St. Clair; three great-grandchildren: Maelee Wilken, Leevi Wilken, and Vincent Wilken; two sisters: Jody Halmich and husband Gary of St. Clair, and Judy George and husband Dutch of St. Clair; and many other relatives and friends.
