Wilbert Petzold, 59 of St. Clair passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 in St. Louis.

Mr. Petzold, son of the late Fred Petzold and wife Evelyn nee Schoppenhorst was born October 20, 1951 in St. Clair. He served war time for his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated his own logging and sawmill company WRP Timber & Son.

Mr. Petzold was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evelyn Petzold; one brother, Fred Arnold and one sister, Wannie Sitzes.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Petzold of St. Clair, Donald Petzold of St. Clair and Bradley Petzold and fiancé Christina Jones of Union; two daughters, Kayla Rae Petzold of St. Clair and Amanda Ann Gauer of Leslie; one brother, Kenneth "Connie" Arnold and wife Rose of St. Clair; four sisters, LaDonna James and husband John of Marble Hill, Nancy Kamper of Steelville, Georgia Benton of St. Clair and Raylene Ochsenbine and husband Kenneth of St. Clair; four grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Breana Jones, Ashley Petzold and Kendra Petzold; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
