Wayne Hendrix, 75, of St. Clair passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 in Washington.

Wayne, son of Lawrence Hendrix and wife Lorena (Kappelman) was born May 30, 1944 in Washington.

On June 14, 1996 he was united in marriage to Donna Otten in St. Clair.

He served his country in the Army National Guard for eight years and was a long-time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in St. Clair.

He was a gifted musician playing guitar and enjoyed spreading joy to others with his music.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lorena Hendrix.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hendrix of St. Clair; three stepchildren, Shelley Bethel and husband Kory of St. Clair, Wyatt Otten and wife Melissa of St. Clair and Renee Stewart and husband Joe of Springfield; one sister, Diane Erdman and husband Jim of St. Louis; thirteen step-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to Liberty Baptist Church or Mt. Zion Baptist Church are preferred.
