Walter "Butch" Elliff, 75, of Washington passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 in St. Louis.

Butch, son of Walter E. Elliff and wife Beverly (Baker) was born April 24, 1946 in St. Louis.

On May 16, 1986 he was united in marriage to Ginny in Labadie, Missouri.

Butch worked at Schreiter Ready Mix in O'Fallon as a mechanic. As a hobby he enjoyed working on trucks and tinkering.

He loved to hunt and fish but especially going on fishing trips with his son, Robert. He will be known as a generous and loving person always looking to help someone in need. Most of all he loved his family very much.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Beverly Elliff; one sister, Thelma Spangler and a daughter in infancy.

He is survived by his wife, Ginny Elliff of Washington; four children, Connie Hannick and husband Donald Schwartz of Washington, Robert Hannick and significant other Cathy Porter of Texas, Lynn Elliff-Ebker and husband Dale of Owensville and Joanne Elliff and significant other Tom Click of Leasburg; five siblings, Beverly Donnelly of Ohio, Richard Elliff and wife Marie of Gerald, William Elliff and wife Cathy of Bland, John Elliff and wife Brenda of Pace, FL and Christina Elliff of Fullton; two grandchildren, Jimmy Schwartz of Union and Crystal Schwartz-Fisher and husband Adam of Washington; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Swartz of Union, Crystal Fisher and husband Adam of Washington, Herman Elliff of Owensville, Kimberly Ebker of Owensville, Amber Ebker of Owensville, Austin Click of Leaseburg, Robbie Hannick of Pacific, Destiny Bacon and significant other Chris of Pacific, Ashley Casby and husband Noah of Pacific; seventeen great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
