Obituary

Virginia May Lewis (Martin), 84, of St. Clair passed away Thursday January 14, 2021 at her home.

On June 9, 1936 Virginia was born to the union of Otto Martin and Reva (Wills) in Perryville.

Virginia attended Flat River School District.

She retired from Autumn Hill in transportation after 10 plus years.

Virginia enjoyed cooking, fishing and camping. One of her favorite things was going on vacation. Jamaica and visiting Mount Rushmore were among her favorite but she loved each place that she visited. People watching from the front porch was her favorite pass time. Most of all Virginia loved her family and getting to spend quality time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Lee Lewis; her parents, Otto Martin and Reva Brock; one son; Jimmy Schmidt; granddaughter, Haylee Godefroid.

Virginia is survived by her two sons, Bill Schmidt of St. Clair and Dennis Schmidt and wife Tonya of St. Clair; three daughters, Tammy Godefroid and husband Steve of St. Clair, Lisa Goodman and husband Marvin Cruz of Texas and Kara Humphrey and husband John of St. Clair; two special sisters, Betty Mae Johnson of St. Charles and Brenda Christopher of Crystal City; fourteen grandchildren, Darrell Flora of St. Clair, Jason Flora of St. Clair, Caleb Schmidt of Wentzville, Lacie Schmidt of St. Clair, Shane Schmidt of Columbia, Sonya Eaton of St. Clair, Jeff Vitt of Pacific, Jennifer Ziegler of St. Clair, Jerad Godefroid of St. Clair, Marvin Lee Cruz of Texas, Justin Goodman of Texas, Brandon Goodman of Florida, Jacob Humphrey of St. Clair and Kaitlyn Humphrey of St. Clair; many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
