Virgil Turner, 69 of St. Clair passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 in Washington.
Mr. Turner, son of the late William Turner and Geniva nee Newcomb was born March 30, 1942 in Dora, Alabama.
On March 12, 1962 he was united in marriage to Judy Lumos in Escondido, California.
He served his country in the Vietnam War as a Lance Corporal for the United States Marine Corps. He attended the First Baptist Church in Villa Ridge.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Turner; his daughter, Clarissa Vongladeth; his father, William Turner; his mother, Geniva Meadows; one sister, Emma Myers.
He is survived by one son, Danny Turner and wife Brenda of Washington state; two daughters, Angelina Cardinalli of St. Clair and Cynthia Fleming and husband Thomas of Poplar Grove, Illinois; two brothers, Herschel Meadows and wife Gloia and Ricky Meadows and wife Cherry both of Alabama; seventeen grandchildren, Danny Michael Jr., Joel, Sabrina, Amanda, Virgil, Marvin, Laura, Gerald, Joy, Raylynn, Crystal, Julie, Sarah, Thomas Jr., Dominic, Tylar and Caitlynn; eleven great-grandchildren; other relative and many friends.
