Vincent "Opie" J. Lowe, 57, of Union passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at his home.

Opie was born January 3, 1962 in Washington to Danny N. Lowe and Dixie C. McKinney.

On August 9, 1985 he was united in marriage to Carol Nilson in Florissant.

Opie's passion was for restoring and collecting classic Fords. He enjoyed wildlife and being in the outdoors. Camping and fishing were always one of his favorite pastimes. Most of all he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and family.

Opie will be remembered as a great husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Opie was preceded in death by his father, Danny N. Lowe.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Lowe of Union; three children, Danny K. Lowe and wife Haeli of Union, Jayme McCowen and husband Taylor of Sullivan and Kelsey Lowe and significant other AJ Van Leer of Union; his mother, Dixie C. McKinney and husband Bob Teckenbrock of Union; two sisters, Cyndi Dotson and husband Rowdy of St. Louis and Sheree Gruen and husband Sam of St. Peters; five grandchildren, Sutton Lowe, Ellie Lowe, Grey McCowen, Leighton McCowen and Hudson McCowen; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to National Organization for Rare Disorders are preferred.
