Vernon E. White "Hute", 69, of St. Clair passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 in St. Clair.
Mr. White, son of the late Everett White and wife Anna Mae nee Martin was born May 13, 1946 in Steelville.
Vernon worked as a Carpenter for the Carpenter's Union, he build houses and helped with the elevator system in the Arch.
He was a member and served as a Chaplain for The American Legion Post 347 in St. Clair.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially liked spending time with his granddaughter, Jaylynn.
Vernon had a big heart and was very caring and generous. He was well liked and friends with everyone.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Anna Mae White; his son, Jason White; two brothers, Tim White and Eddie White and his grandson, Dustin Morgan.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene White of St. Clair; two daughters, Tamara White and friend Mic Viller of St. Clair and Angela Mahnesmith of Washington; five brothers, James Burrus Jr. and wife Josie of Davisville, MO, Fred White and wife Barb of Cuba, Robert white and wife Chris of Cuba, Paul White and wife Lisa of St. Louis and Bill White and wife Jan of Cuba; one sister, Donna Metcalf of Cuba; four grandchildren, Kyle Wagner, Anthoni White, Codi Mahnesmith and Jaylynn White; one great-granddaughter, Ayva Vertz; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
