Verban Lindell Nowlin, 69, of Villa Ridge passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Nowlin, son of the late Ernest Nowlin and wife Lula nee Sawyer was born June 23, 1948 in Gideon, Missouri.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Combat Medic from 1969 to 1970 receiving an honorable discharge for his services.

On December 29, 1978 he was united in marriage to Pamela Blackwell in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Nowlin was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lula Nowlin and three brothers, Larry Nowlin, Darrell Nowlin and Keith Nowlin.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Nowlin of Villa Ridge; three children, Michelle Guehne of New Haven, Nicholas Nowlin of Villa Ridge and Dean Nowlin of Union; four grandchildren, Seth, Morgan, Zoe and Alivia; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
