Velma Jane Albatt nee Simmons, 89 of New Haven passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in New Haven.

Mrs. Albatt, daughter of the late Amos Simmons and wife Telitha nee Roe was born September 23, 1926 in Morrisonville, Illinois.

On July 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to John "Stan" Albatt in St. Louis.

She enjoyed many outdoor activities especially camping and fishing.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Albatt was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Telitha Simmons; her husband, John "Stan" Albatt; her son, Gale L. Albatt and many brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Roy of New Haven; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Marcy, Regina, Bryan Roy, Jaqlin Roy, Benjamin Roy and Jasmine Roy; other relatives and many friends.
