Timothy Turner, 88 of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Turner son of the late Reverend Chester Turner and wife Mary nee Wideman was born December 16, 1920 in St. Clair, Missouri.

He served his country in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class during World War II and received an honorable discharge December 24, 1945.

On September 23, 1946 he was united in marriage to Delores Null in Carlinville, Illinois.

Mr. Turner was a member of the First Assembly of God in St. Clair. During this time he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Song Leader. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved his grandchildren very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Chester and Mary Turner; his first wife, Vivian Turner; six brothers, Mike Sohn, George Sohn, Arthur Turner, Grover Turner, Walter Turner and David Turner; five sisters, Carrie Sohn, Rose Sohn, Dorothy Love, Zella Broombaugh and Maude Woodcock; son-in-law, Danny Cordia.

Mr. Turner is survived by his wife Delores Turner of St. Clair; five sons, James Turner and wife Donna of Hillsboro, Missouri, Timothy Turner and wife June of Brandon, Florida, Joe Turner and wife Crystal of Sullivan, Missouri, George Turner and wife Sharon of Anderson, South Carolina and Gerald Turner and wife Jill of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two daughters, Gloria Todd and husband Raymond of Richmond, Missouri and Lanora Cordia of High Ridge, Missouri; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
