Obituary

Thomas Jeffrey Butenhoff, passed away at his home in Union, Missouri, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the age of 75 years. He was born to the union of Earl and Mary Ann Butenhoff (Eddleman), on January 26, 1951, in St Louis. He was united in marriage to Donna Drury at Josephine’s Chapel in St Louis on June 9, 2007.

He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He also was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 25 years. Thomas loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a member of the Webster Garden Church and Transformation Church of Eureka.

Thomas had a passion for landscaping, a business that he worked in for much of his life. He enjoyed fishing for whatever would bite and gardening. Since 1967, he was an avid St Louis Blues Hockey fan, never missing a game and always cheering on his favorite team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Ann Butenhoff; one sister, Florence Wainwright.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Donna Butenhoff of Union; one son Kevin of Union; one daughter, Katie Butenhoff (‘fiancé David Randolph) of St Louis; one step-daughter, Constance (Nate) Keller of Colorado; grandchildren, Jakob (Amy) Butenhoff-Crabtree, Lilliana Butenhoff, Elliot Butenhoff, Theodore Butenhoff, Josephine Butenhoff; bonus grandchildren, Jasmine Keller, Moriah Keller, Levi Keller; four bonus great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald (Chris) Butenhoff of St Louis; one sister, Janice (Norbert) Englert of Hermann; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

The family would like to extend the invitation to all who are attending the service to feel free to wear your St Louis Blues Hockey apparel or blue clothing in honor of Thomas.
