Thelma (Heckelmann) Henderson, 83 of Washington passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 in Washington.

Mrs. Henderson, daughter of the late Wilbert Heckelmann and wife Ada (Clemons) was born April 12, 1935 in Canaan, Missouri.

On December 26, 1951 she was united in marriage to Donald Lee Henderson Sr. in Washington.

Thelma volunteered at Cedar Crest Manor helping residents with extra activities and assisting with day trips. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 218 in Washington.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Ada Heckelmann; her husband, Donald Lee Henderson Sr.; two brothers, Bobby Heckelmann and Melvin Heckelmann; one sister, Goldie Zeugin and one grandson, Derek Henderson.

She is survived by one son, Donald "Buck" Henderson Jr. of Washington; two daughters, Brenda Klemmer and husband Larry Sr. of Michigan and Myra Davis of Washington; one brother, Wilbert Heckelmann of Washington; seven grandchildren, Michelle Akey and husband Kevin of Michigan, Jill Frost of Michigan, Dawn Distler and husband Matt of Washington, Ian Henderson of Illinois, Joshua Davis of Washington, Eric Davis and wife Erin of Gerald and Larry Klemmer Jr. and wife Lindsy of Michigan; thirteen great-grandchildren, Wescott, Drezen, Darian, Soleil, Ciera, Nevaeh, Noah, Chloe, Braden, Steven, Ryan, Lily and Wil; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Cedar Crest Manor Activities Fund are preferred.
