Susan Mae Guynn, 70, of Washington, passed away, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, Missouri.

On October 5, 1952, Susan was born to the union of Edgar Groover and Marguerite (Comer) Groover in Iowa.

Susan was a spiritual lady. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and being outdoors immersed in nature. Growing up in the simple farm country of Iowa is where her love for the outdoors came from as well as her love for animals. She and Pat loved taking walks together along the river. When she wasn't outside, she could be found reading a good book or watching one of her favorite shows which consisted of police shows, dramas and historical romances. Susan also loved cooking and baking.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She and Pat spent 15 years together.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles "Buck" Groover.

She is survived by her partner of 15 years, Pat Bowen of Washington; one son, Patrick Guynn of Colorado; three daughters, Diana Christiansen of Iowa, Fay Guynn of Iowa and Grace Sanchez of Iowa; three sisters, Helen Platt and husband Merlin of Iowa, Sandra Groover and husband Steve of Iowa  and Sheri Simons and husband Tom of Iowa; eight grandchildren, Zachary Vercammen, Drake Guynn, Arantxa Vercammen, Makenna Vercammen, Delilah Stiles, Braxton Delevere, Cruz Sanchez and Sylis Kueter; other relatives and many friends.
