Steve Pilgram of Labadie, MO passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the age of 79 years.  He was born April 20, 1944 in Maryland Heights, MO; the son of Benedict "Ben" Pilgram and his wife, Loretta (Clemonds).

Steve received his education from Maryland Heights High School and was employed as a carpenter in the construction trade.  He was united in marriage to Rita (Hensler) on April 16, 1983, in Belleville, IL and the couple celebrated 41 years of marriage to the day. Steve loved trout fishing, deer and turkey hunting, and fishing in his lake.  He enjoyed spending time in nature, especially his time spent hunting on the ridge in Hermit Hollow and the many four wheeler rides.  The time he cherished most was the time spent with his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Loretta Pilgram; one daughter, Stephanie Pilgram; and one brother Ben Pilgram.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Pilgram of Labadie; his children: Steve Pilgram and wife Kathy of Labadie, Peggy Hussey and husband Don of St. James, Bill McLemore and wife April of Alton, IL, and Janice Baldus and husband Ron of Florence, KY; one brother, Phil Pilgram and wife Pat of Gerald; one sister, Kris Meyer and husband David of Gerald; and sister-in-law Holly Pilgram; eight grandchildren: Samantha (Darrell) Boyer, Tyler (Olivia) Hussey, Mark McLemore, Dylann (Brennan Cole) McLemore, Kayla (Grady) Cooper, Emily (Cody) Baldus, Cody (Baylee) Pilgram, and Bret Baldus; six great-grandchildren: Evelyn Hussey, Mia Boyer, Benjamin Hussey, Cameron Boyer, Brooklyn Hussey, and Baby P on the way; and many other relatives and friends.
