Steve Fortune, 57, of Union passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in St. Louis.

Steve, son of Marvin Fortune and Nancy (Ritter) was born September 6, 1964 in Evansville, Indiana.

Steve graduated from Pacific High School in 1982. Later he went on to pursue his career as a Carpenter that led to thirty-two years of service in the industry. He was a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 0092 in St. Louis, MO.

What meant most to Steve was spending time with his children and grandson.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Ritter.

He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Fortune and wife Kim of Union and Steven Fortune of Springfield, Illinois; his father, Marvin Fortune of Texas; two siblings, Angela Terpening and husband Wayne of Greeley, Colorado and Shawn McKinney and significant other Samantha of Hannibal; one grandson, Xavier Fortune; niece, Amy Collins of Greeley, Colorado; nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family are preferred.
