Stanley R. "Butch" Davis, 82, of St. Clair, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home.

On September 6, 1936 Stanley was born to the union of Arthur Davis and Josie (Miles) in Sturgeon, Missouri.

Stanley worked at Chrysler for 33 years and at Brown Shoe Company for 16 years.

He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in St. Clair.

Stanley enjoyed bowling, karaoke, cork ball, horseshoes and playing cards. Most of all Stanley loved his family.

Stanley was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Davis; second wife, Barbara Davis; parents, Arthur and Josie Davis; three brothers, Monty Davis, Orville Davis and Larry Davis; four sisters, Dorothy Goodman, Juanita McCord, Carmel Garstang and Launa Brown; four infant siblings, Norman, Laura Mae and a set of twins; two grandsons, Kaleb M. Davis and Nathaniel Davis.

He is survived by his wife Jean Gray of Owensville; two sons, Stanley A. Davis and wife Lola of St. Clair and David Davis and wife Karen of St. Clair; two daughters, Janet Sohn of St. Clair and Karen Sue Austin and husband Larry of St. Clair; two sisters, Shirley McClung of Illinois and Joan Story of Florida; ten grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In Lieu of flowers donations are preferred to the family of Stanley Davis.
