Shirley Freida (Karner) Burkett of Union, MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the age of 87 years.  Shirley was born in Chicago, IL.; the daughter of Joseph Karner and his wife, Anna (Ulreich).

Shirley was a spunky woman.  She had a great sense of humor and was often called a spitfire.  She enjoyed being outdoors, particularly fishing.  She also loved animals, especially dogs and cats.  The time Shirley cherished most was the time spent with her family and friends, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Karner; and six brother and sisters.

She is survived by one brother, Herbie Karner and wife Pat of Chicago, IL.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
