Sherri Arnold (Covey), 58, of Missouri formerly of Texas passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Festus, Missouri.

Sherri was born March 20, 1962 to loving parents, George Kenneth Covey and wife Dorothy (Watts).Sherri moved several times in her life, but the bulk of her adulthood was spent in Balch Springs, Texas. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking, flamboyant sense of humor, and no-nonsense attitude.

Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, George Kenneth and Dorothy Covey; one sister, Liz Hantes and one brother, Glynn Covey.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Ortiz and fiancé Angie Turner of St. Clair and Kenneth Ortiz of Springfield, IL; one daughter, Marissa Whitney-Danby and husband Mike Cook; six grandchildren, Paige Ortiz, Ashton Ortiz, Liam Danby, Dezeraye Danby, Hunter Cook, and Lucas Cook; one great grandchild, Jaycee Cervantes; siblings, William Covey and wife Nelda of Texas, Charles Covey and wife Lisa of Texas, Kathy Loredo and husband Richard of Texas and Lori Fernandez and husband Kevin of Illinois; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
