Obituary

Shelba Ann Bay (Small), 68 of Beaufort, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

Shelba, daughter of George Small and wife Rachel (Zigler), was born October 29, 1953, in Washington.

July 14, 1973, she was united in marriage to Roger Neal Bay, in Union, Missouri.

Shelba graduated from Union High School. She enjoyed working as a babysitter to many children and generations of those children.

In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlepoint and crocheting, along with cooking for family gatherings in which no one ever went home hungry. In her youth, she enjoyed playing in softball leagues and in bowling leagues.

Shelba was preceded in death by her husband Roger Bay; her parents, George and Rachel Small; one son, Joshua Bay; brother, Scott Small; sister, Georgia Bailey; nephew, Tyler Bailey.

She is survived by her sons, Ryan Bay and girlfriend Jamie Soto of Beaufort, Jared Bay and fiancé Alanna Bradley of New Haven; three brothers, James Small and wife Linda of Robertsville, Gary Small of Dittmer, Craig Small and wife Jessica of Union; three sisters, Liz Tesson and husband Mark of Troy, Kathy Strode and husband David of Dittmer, Lisa Ferguson and husband Virgil of Troy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
