Ruth Marie (Gumpenberger) Stanley of Villa Ridge, MO was born June 30, 1947, in Washington, MO; the daughter of Vernon Gumpenberger and his wife, Goldie (Goode). Ruth passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 77 years.
Ruth received her education from Washington High School. She was united in marriage to Kenny Stanley on August 1, 1985, in Washington and the couple made their home in Villa Ridge. She was employed as a telemarketer with Lost Valley Lake Resort in Owensville until her retirement. Ruth valued her religion and had a constant love of Christ in her heart. In her spare time, she enjoyed puzzles and crocheting and took pleasure in making crocheted blankets for her grandchildren. She was a very giving woman and had a hug for everyone, stranger or not. Ruth absolutely adored her family. They were the most important thing in her life, and she delighted in doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Goldie Gumpenberger; and two great-grandchildren: Aurora Johnson and Baby Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Kenny Stanley of Villa Ridge; five children: Troy Broeker and wife Pam of Lonedell, Tim Broeker and wife Anita of Robertsville, Terry Broeker and wife Tasha of Beaufort, Ronda Covington and husband Mike of Camden, TN, and Wayne Stanley of Leslie; two sisters: Pat Schlitt and husband Kenny of Union, and Janice Volmert of Washington; thirteen grandchildren: Ericka Broeker, Jacob (Elizabeth) Broeker, Alexandria (Dustin) Johnson, Lucas Broeker, Briar (Katelyn) Broeker, Marisa Broeker, Morgan Broeker, Makenzy Broeker, Jennifer Broeker, Ashlynn Covington, Brayden Covington, Nicholas Stanley, and Brandon Stanley; six great-grandchildren: Bentley Broeker, Henry Broeker, Heston Broeker, Bohannan Broeker, Eleanor Wilding, and Benaiah Johnson; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials in honor of Ruth Stanley can be made to the charity or organization of the donors' choice.
