Ruth Ann Hawkins nee Padgett, 56 of St. Clair passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Mrs. Hawkins daughter of William Ray Padgett and Shirley Ann Padgett - Eckenfels nee Murray was born September 30, 1952 in Louisiana, Missouri.
Ruth was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and great-step grandmother.
She was a very good person and would do anything for anyone.
She was married to Johnie Hawkins, Sr. and four children were born from this union.
Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her father William Ray Padgett; sister Martha Padgett; half brothers, Charles Padgett, William "Bill" Padgett and Ronnie Padgett; half sisters, Della Zieres and Connie Diedrich.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Hawkins and wife Billie of St. Clair, Johnie Hawkins, Jr. and wife Meagan of St. Clair; two daughters, Jamie Hawkins (Matthew Greife) of Gerald and Krissie Hawkins of St. Clair; her mother, Shirley Padgett-Eckenfels and step-father August Eckenfels of Gerald; one brother, Melvin Padgett of St. Clair; four sisters, Anna Sell and friend John Woodcock of Gravois Mills, Rose Loyd of St. Clair, Sandra Hawkins and husband Mike of St. Clair and Sherry Helzer(Don Trent) of Villa Ridgethree grandchildren, Johnie Hawkins III, Austin Hawkins and Jessica Inman; five step-children, Tina Winters and husband Everett, Connie Rector and husband Tim, Christine Jones, Angela Elder and Jennifer Hawkins; half sisters, Wanda Jones, Ellen Provaznik, Dorothy Leonard and Mary Hagen; step-brothers, Jerry Eckenfels, Dale Eckenfels, Terry Eckenfels and wife Carol, Brian Eckenfels and wife Annae, Bruce Eckenfels and wife Jennifer and Alan Eckenfels and wife Stephanie; special sister-n-law Merilyn Jones; fifteen step-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
