Roy Neal Loyd, 66 of Union, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Bridgeton.

On January 29, 1955 Roy was born to the union of Melvin Loyd and Rose (Giger) in Washington.

Roy attended both Beaufort and Union Schools.

He worked at Rock Hill Auto Salvage for most of his life.

Roy enjoyed the outdoors and going hiking. He loved fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting. When Roy had the opportunity to get out on the water he would go canoeing. He participated in the "Clean Stream" with the Beaufort Lions Club. Roy loved to be with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Rose Loyd.

He is survived by three sons, Mike Loyd and wife Lisa of Indiana, Dustin Hartzke of Union and Travis Hartzke and wife Carmella of Union; three brothers, Bruce Loyd and wife Donna of Sullivan, Daniel Loyd and wife Debra of Hermann and David Loyd of Union; one sister, Juanita Koch of Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
