Rosemary (Frailey) Phillips nee Gales, 75 of Union passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Phillips, daughter of the late Floyd Gales and wife Thelma nee Bage was born July 30, 1939 in Essex, Missouri. Rosemary was a generous, loving women who invested herself in her family, her church, her gardens and her farm. While actively teaching, she fondly referred to her students as "my kids". She was of the Christian Faith and faithful member of Christ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in St. Clair. On May 30, 1961 she was united in marriage to her first husband Hayward Frailey in Dexter, Missouri. On October 26, 1991 she was united in marriage to her second husband, Estal Phillips in Union. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Thelma Gales; her first husband, Hayward Frailey; one son, Terry Phillips; great granddaughter, Kaela Phillips; her brother, Vernon Gales and brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Freda (Hunt) Gales. She is survived by her husband, Estal Phillips of Union; three children, Crystal Frailey of Union, Sherrie Kent and husband William of Union and Larry Phillips and wife Beverly of East Alton. IL; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel Welker and wife Jaklynn, Mackenzie Welker, Haylee Henson, Sheila Henseler and husband Scott, Jennifer Klenke, Rex McHugh and wife Betty, Danny McHugh and "adopted" granddaughter, Elise Molner; four great-grandchildren, Alyson Henseler, James Henseler, Ben Klenke and Zayden Major; daughter-in-law, Sharon Phillips of Springfield, Ohio; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, loving church family and many friends including Brutus, her faithful Westie and special brother-in-law, Doug Phillips, who provided immense support and encouragement throughout her final months.
