Rose Loyd nee Geiger, 80 of Beaufort passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 in Leslie.

Mrs. Loyd, daughter of Julius Geiger and wife Pearl nee Philbert was born April 25, 1932 in Augusta, Missouri.

On May 20, 1950 she was united in marriage to Melvin Loyd in Union.

Mrs. Loyd was prceded in death by her parents, Julius and Pearl Geiger; her husband, Melvin Loyd; two brothers, Raymond "Buster" Geiger and Fred Geiger; one sister, Laura Hennecke; two grandchildren, Sara Lackey and Rebecca Koch and one great-granddaughter, Kayla Reed.

She is survived by four sons, Bruce Loyd and wife Donna of Sullivan, Daniel Loyd and wife Debra of Hermann, Roy Loyd of Beaufort and David Loyd of Union; one daughter, Juanita Koch and husband Randy of Leslie; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
