Ronald Lee Short Jr., of Grubville, MO passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 3, 1957, in St. Louis, MO to Ronald and Barbara Short.

He was a devoted husband to his wife Anna Marie of nearly 45 years, a loving father to his three children Michael (Amy) Short, Daniel (Jackie) Short, and Samantha (Edwin) Van Weelden; his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Grace, Joe, Carter, Nathan, Kaleb, Avery, Isla and Porter; four great grandchildren, Charles, Eden, Ridoc, and Willow.

He is survived by his father, Ronald Short Sr., his brother Howard (Julie) Short, sisters Darlene (Sandi Truitt) Dugan and Debbie (Brian) Schuhmacher; and many extended family members and friends.

Ronnie was an avid fisherman and hunter, but most importantly a faithful follower of Christ.

Services to celebrate Ronnie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, visitation from 1 pm to 2pm and a Memorial Service starting at 2 pm at Roots Church, 235 North Service Road West, St. Clair, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
