Roland Ziegler, 78, of Union passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Washington. Mr. Ziegler, son of the late James Ziegler and wife Anna Bell nee Beaver was born September 23, 1935 in Fletcher, Missouri. On January 26, 1957 he was united in marriage to Grace Luckey in St. Clair. Mr. Ziegler served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Ralph Ziegler, James Ziegler, John Ziegler, Albert Zigler, Fred Zigler, Walter Ziegler and Donald Ziegler; five sisters, Iola Souders, Yetta Thurman, Betty Whitworth, Emily Rodgers and Fannie Ziegler and one grandson, Andrew Ziegler. Mr. Ziegler is survived by his wife, Grace Ziegler of Union; one son, David Ziegler and wife Sherry of Mesa, Arizona; one daughter, Rhonda Ziegler of Chesterfield; two sisters, Violet Rutledge of Forest Grove, Oregon and Rachel Small and husband George of St. Clair; two grandchildren, Ryan Ziegler and wife Brittney and Jordan Ziegler; other relatives and many friends.
