Roger Eugene Winning Sr., 74, of Washington, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on July 18, 2026.

Roger was born on October 15, 1951, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to the late John Gilbert Winning and Delores Mary (Piquard) Winning.

Roger dedicated 37 years of his career to Ameren, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built throughout the years.

Above all, Roger loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. In his spare time, he was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed baseball, camping, and collecting cars. Whether at the campground, watching a race, or sharing stories with family, Roger appreciated life's simple pleasures and the people he loved most.

Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy (Jarrett) Winning; his daughters, Dawn (Chris) Cusack and Donna (Dave) Johnson; his son, Roger (Colleen) Winning Jr.; his grandchildren, Tyler (Hannah) Baublitz, Nathan Winning, Josh Baublitz, Cole Cusack (Stephanie Jones), Katie Cusack, Thomas Winning, and Brooke Winning; and his great-grandchildren, Genevieve Baublitz and Callum Baublitz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delores Winning, and by his brothers, John Richard Winning and Victor Winning.

Roger will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of family, his sense of humor, and the many memories made while camping and cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held at a later date.
