Obituary

Robert Kelly Stroub, 64, of Sullivan, MO., sadly left our world on Dec 24, 2024, surrounded by his family following a long battle with liver disease. He was laid to rest on January 8, 2025, with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Born February 14, 1960, in Cynthiana, Kentucky to Roy and Barbra (Moore) Stroub, Robert worked as a carry-out clerk at Sparks Supervalve during high school, graduating from Harrison County High School in 1979. Following graduation, he worked as a dairy manager at Nash Foodworld and a stock clerk at Billy Warth Farm Supply, before entering the U.S. ARMY in 1980.

Following his decorated time in service, Robert became an over-the-road "Reefer" Truck Driver, spending a good portion of his career with Warner Express before retiring for health reasons in 2024.

Robert K. Stroub was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Barbra Stroub; and his brother, Timothy Stroub.

Robert is survived by his wife, Norma Stroub of Sullivan; one sister, Tina Swinford (husband Jim and daughter Rachel) of Cynthiana, KY; one son, Mike Scaman of Sullivan; daughters: Katie Stroub of Sullivan, Mary Beakly of Perryville, Kimono Stroub-Krahn and husband Bryan of Manitowoc, WI., and Beth Little and husband Bill of Sullivan.

He will be dearly missed by his friends and family and long remembered as a great husband, brother, dad, buddy, provider and protector of country, family, honor and righteousness.
