Robert Cowsert, of Lonedell, passed away unexpectedly on March 5th, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on February 16, 1957, the son of Charles Cowsert, Sr. and Ingeborg (nee Klawikofsky) Cowsert.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he worked as a union carpenter. Robert was very artistic, having the ability to create anything from paintings to wood carvings. Whether gardening, fishing or deer hunting he loved to spend his idle time in nature. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ingeborg Cowsert; three siblings, Charles Cowsert, Jr, Donald Cowsert and Kimberly Cowsert.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Cowsert, Jr. and wife Melissa of Indiana, Nicholas Cowsert and April Miller of Lonedell; one daughter, Heather Weakley and husband David of Oklahoma; one Brother, Steve Cowsert and wife Mindy of St. Clair; three sisters, Christine Gibson and husband Bob of St. Clair, Mona Marler of St. Clair, Rhonda Nix and husband Ronnie of Lonedell; four grandchildren, Lucian Cowsert, Brock Weakley, Lexi Cowsert, Blake Weakley; other relatives and many friends.
