Robert L. Cooper Sr., 75, of St. Clair passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 in St. Clair.
Robert, son of Lewis Cooper and wife Lily (Tucker) was born September 27, 1946 in Altheimer, Arkansas.
On May 10, 1969 he was united in marriage to Gloria Rohlfing in Washington.
Robert served his country in the United States Army, seeing two tours in Vietnam and receiving an honorable discharge.
He was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church in Leslie and past member of the Elks Lodge in Washington and Kiwanis in Union.
Robert worked at the Franklin County Highway Department as a truck driver as well many other careers over the years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being in the outdoors.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Lily Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Cooper of St. Clair; two sons, Robert "Bob" Cooper and wife Taffany of Union and James Cooper and wife Christy of Beaufort; four grandchildren, Amber Wallace and husband Kenny of Union, Kelsey Ferkel and husband Luke of Union, Grace Cooper of Beaufort and Carter Cooper of Beaufort; four great-grandchildren, Charles Ferkel, Everlynn Wallace, Cooper Ferkel and Khloie Wallace; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations to Evergreen Baptist Church are preferred.
