Ricky P. Schallenberg, 61 of Union passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at his home. Mr. Schallenberg, son of the Frederick Schallenberg and Doris nee Laumand was born May 20, 1953 in St. Louis. On April 29, 1972 he was united in marriage to Pamela Greathouse in Shrewsbury, Missouri. Mr. Schallenberg was of the Christian Faith and member of the Antioch Christian Church in Leslie. He enjoyed riding his Goldwing motorcycle and taking road trips with his wife Pamela. In his spare time he loved spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling the best way he knew how. Mr. Schallenberg was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Schallenberg and his mother, Doris Schmidt. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Schallenberg of Union; two daughters, Heather Plassmeyer and husband Timothy and Rebecca Recsnik and husband Steven both of Union; three sisters, Gail Placke and husband Patrick of Washington, Sharon Conklin and husband Bill of Wisconsin and Kay Geen of Florissant; four grandchildren, Lucas Plassmeyer, Mallory Recsnik, Grace Recsnik and Xavier Plassmeyer; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
