Obituary

Richard "Rick" Watson, 70, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Washington.

Rick, son of Robert "Pop" Watson and wife Laurel (Bradley) was born September 10, 1950 in St. Louis.

He served his country in the United States Navy seeing wartime during the Vietnam War and receiving an honorable discharge for his service.

He was united in marriage to Patricia Hawkins on August 16th and shared thirty-seven years together.

Rick worked for Mark Andy Inc. in Chesterfield and retired after 35 years.

Rick was an avid NASCAR Fan with a liking for vintage cars. He always enjoyed barbecuing with friends and family.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Pop" and Laurel Watson and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Watson and Michael Watson.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Watson of St. Clair; one daughter, Jennifer Stverak of St. Clair; two stepdaughters, Katie Douglas and husband Shannon of Sullivan and Emily Waz and husband Graig of Byrnes Mill; one brother, John "Jack" Watson and wife Gail of Illinois; five grandchildren, James, Brannen, Taylor, Brayden and Clayton; one great-granddaughter, Amelia; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A luncheon celebration of life will be held 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Canaan Land Ministries, St. Clair. Memorial service and military honors will start at 4:30 p.m. Private inurnment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations to Canaan Land Ministries are preferred.
