Richard Hur, of Union, passed away at his home in the presence of his loving family, on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 73.

Richie, as he was known to friends and family, son of Richard and Naomi (Thacker) Hoer, Sr., was born in Washington on March 14, 1952. He was united in marriage to Cathy Reed in Union on October 25, 2001.

He loved the outdoors, spending time crappie fishing at their property at Lake Pom De Terre and mushroom hunting. Richie was known for cooking the best food around and his pool shooting skills. He was always in the mood for a poker game, rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals or cheering on the Mizzou basketball and football teams. Most of all, he loved his family, spending time with friends and his dog, Myla.

Richie was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Naomi Hoer; one brother, David Hoer.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hur of Union; one brother, Carl Hoer of Union; one sister, Lynette Mundt and husband Kurt of Union; his four-legged companion, Myla; other relatives and many friends.
