Richard "Rick" Fritz was born March 22, 1953, in Sullivan, MO; the son of Virgil Fritz and his wife, Opal (Crow).  Rick passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 71 years.

Rick was owner and operator of Fritz Excavating, and helped countless families over the years lay their loved ones to rest.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, and particularly doted on his step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Rick will be missed by all that were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Opal Fritz; his wife, Linda Fritz; and three siblings: Riley Fritz, Bertha Jameson, and Mary Bailey.

He is survived by two stepdaughters: Misty Negretti and husband Brandon of Krakow, and Donna Collins and husband Rusty of NE; three sisters: Pattie Fritz of Cuba, Ginny Templeton of Edgar Springs, and Dianne Schlaitzer and husband Russell of Sullivan; four step-grandchildren: Morgan Negretti, Desire Negretti, Charley Negretti, and Aspen Zimmermann; five step-great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Randy Nolie and significant other, Jenny Whitheaf of Sullivan; and many other relatives and friends.
