Richard Allen Boyer, 62, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
He was born September 22, 1963, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the son of Walter Boyer Sr. and Berniece (Thurmond) Boyer. As a teenager, he was baptized at Mt. Zion Church in St. Clair, Missouri.
Richard was a welder by trade and took pride in his work throughout his career. He loved his trucks, watching eagles, and spending time hunting. Above all, he loved being "Papa" to his grandchildren, and was known as an uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.
Richard is survived by his former wife, Ronnette Hall of Sullivan, Missouri; his son, Christopher (Breanne Dominguez) Moise, of Sullivan, Missouri; six grandchildren, Emily, Drake, Carter, Camdyn, Aedan, and Taylor; one great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Sue; his brothers, Walter (Bernadine) Boyer Jr. of Topeka, Kansas, Carl (Josh) Boyer-Winn of Oklahoma and Ernest Boyer of Oklahoma; and his sisters, Ellen (Leroy) Messex, of Bourbon, Missouri, and Mary Jane Keith, of Pacific, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Boyer Sr. and Berniece Boyer, and his brothers, Roger "Dale" Boyer, Eddie Dean Boyer, and Homer Boyer.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Midlawn Funeral Home in Union, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Midlawn Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Wells officiating.
Burial will follow at Midlawn Memorial Gardens.
