Obituary

Raymond "Tom" Thomas Smith, 76, of St. Clair passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Washington.

Mr. Smith was born December 22, 1942 in Jonesboro, Tennessee.

Raymond was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan. His proudest accomplishment at the church was starting a bus route for children to be able to attend church.

He was employed at BorgWarner in Washington until his retirement. He later went on to be a Cook at the Lodge of Four Seasons where he prepared exquisite meals. He also was employed at many other area restaurants in the Lake of the Ozark's area.

As an avid Cardinal Baseball Fan, he enjoyed taking in a game on a regular basis, he loved fishing and coin collecting, but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Virginia Smith; three brothers, Raymond Smith, Melvin Smith and Delbert Smith; two sisters, Marcella Norton and Sandy Wright and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Smith.

He is survived by three children, Joseph Smith of St. Clair, Christena Griffith of Union and Patsy Weber and husband James of Union; seven siblings, Margorie Sronce of Terre Haute, IN, Regina Blankenship of Crocker, Nancy Brandt and husband James of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Robert Smith and wife Shari of Waterloo, IL, Jerry Smith and wife Joan of Fenton, Jack Smith and wife Teri of Jefferson City and Rance Smith and wife Pat of Holt Summit; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Smith and wife Krista, Elisha Griffith, Kelsey Griffith, Brittney Smith, Justin Botkins, A.J. Smith, K.C. Smith, Mikayla Weber, Dante Smith, Marshall Hunt, Americas Weber and Elliot Weber; thirteen great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the family are preferred.
