Obituary

Randolph Chiles, Sr., known to his loved ones as Randy, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, at the age of 67 in Catawissa, Missouri. He was born on June 16, 1956, in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York. Randy was a dedicated and skilled Certified Welder for over 40 years, specializing as a Steam Path/Turbine Technician.

Randy was a friend to many, including Bill W., and his warm and goodhearted nature touched the lives of those around him. He had a passion for music and playing the drums. Randy cherished spending time with his family and friends, and creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Randy is survived by his dearly-loved wife of 47 years, Susan J. (Sue) Chiles of Catawissa, MO. He was a devoted husband and loving father to his sons Randolph E. (Randy) Chiles, II (Trishia) of Catawissa, MO, Daniel A. (Dan) Chiles (Susan) of High Ridge, MO, and Christopher N. (Chris) Chiles (Shaye) of Pensacola, FL.

Randy was a caring brother to Sherry Morgan (Bill) of DeSoto, MO, and Sandie Crane (Charles) of Wichita, KS. He was also a proud grandfather to Luke, Jackson, Bella, Leah, Emma, Brielle, Atlas and Everly Chiles. Randy was a dear uncle to John (Danni), Ronnie, and Randy Foreman, and a proud pet parent to his dogs, Rusty (the best dog in the world), and Raja, who frequently joined him for rides in the truck and trips to the park. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Manley (Bill), and his father, Freeman Chiles.

Randy found solace and strength in his faith and was a member of Faith Community Church in House Springs, MO.

A memorial service and celebration of Randy's life will be held at the Pacific Facility. Details regarding the date and time of the service will be provided by the family at a later date.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Randy's memory to Faith Community Church, 4824

The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to Mercy Hospice in Washington, MO – the nurses, doctors, administration staff, music therapist, social worker, chaplain, and caring volunteers for their unwavering love and expert care during this time.

The compassionate staff at Midlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Union, MO, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Randy will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal
peace.
