Ralph "Rudy Via, Sr., 82 of Hermann passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 in Washington. Mr. Via, son of the late Vito Via and wife Theresa nee Iaconetti was born January 13, 1931 in Cook County, Illinois.

On January 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Joyce Hudson in St. Louis. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Rudy and Joyce were Co-Owners of Via's II restaurant in Olivette, Missouri.

Mr. Via was preceded in death by his parents Vito and Theresa Via; his wife, Joyce Via and sister, Mary Francis Erb.

He is survived by three sons, Vito Via and wife Maria of Washington, Tony Via and wife Shelley of House Springs and Rudy Via, Jr. and wife Sherry of Washington; two daughters, Donna Mariano and husband Danny of Hermann and Janet Bittrich and husband Frank of Pikeville, NC; one brother, John Via of Creve Coeur; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
