Peggy Sue (Easler) Short of Palmer, AK passed away peacefully at home Monday, April 14, 2025, at the age of 70 years.  She was born February 10, 1955, in Fort Smith, AR: the daughter of James Easler and Theresa Kirkman.

Peggy was united in marriage to Elmer Short on November 19, 2017, in Palmer, AK. She loved spending time with her family and her dogs, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Easler and Theresa Kirkman; and four brothers: Doug Easler, Donny Easler, Timmy Easler, and Jay Easler.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Elmer Short of Palmer, AK; two children: Bobby Easler and wife Angie of Jefferson City, and Joyce Keiser and husband Tony of Troy; five grandchildren: Shaylyn Uzzle, Kody Tierney, Emily Uzzle, Amber (Glen) Jones, and Monica Easler; five great-grandchildren: Kallie, Kasen, Blaire, Warren, and Millie; three brothers: Gene Easler of Troy, Steven Easler of Pocahontas, IL., and Matt Easler of St. Peters; and many other relatives and friends.
