Paul Edward Yount, 77,  of Catawissa, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country.

Paul, son of Milford Yount and wife Lillian (Loague) was born on November 19, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Kathleen Schneider on April 16, 1988, in Pacific.

Paul was employed through Iron workers local #396 for over 40 years. He worked on the construction of buildings, bridges and many other iron structures in the St. Louis area.

In his spare time, he enjoyed bass fishing in many of the area lakes, gardening, lawn work and he always enjoyed playing the lottery.  He enjoyed the time spent with his family most of all.  He was of the Lutheran faith.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Milford Yount and Lillian Yount; two brothers, Loague Yount and Eugene Yount; special friend, Dorris McKinney.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathleen Yount; three sons, Steve Yount of Alabama, Kyle Yount and wife Becky of Labadie, Derek Loeffel and wife Jennifer of Labadie; one daughter, Kimberly Purple of Georgia; one brother, Dale Yount and wife Judy of Florida; one sister Margie Lawson of Union; seven grandchildren, Ziva Yount, Blake Smythe, Trevor Loeffel, McKinzie Loeffel, Marissa Purple, Brittney Purple and Dustin Purple; nieces; nephews. Cousins; many friends; his special pal (boston terrier), Diamond.
