Patrick "Pat" Roy, of Union, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the age of 62. He was born to the union of Orville and Donna (Norman) Roy, at Cherry Point, North Carolina, on July 12, 1963. He was united in marriage in St. Louis, on December 21, 1985, to the love of his life, Kelly Roy (nee Oppliger), she survives.

Pat was employed and retired from I.B.E.W. local 1, as a communications foreman and Request Electric.   He had received his training while serving in the Air National Guard at Jefferson Barracks, St Louis.

He loved to travel, taking his family on trips with no real destination in mind, other than to find a memorable adventure that would never be forgotten. He was also an avid fan of St. Louis Blues and Cardinals, catching a game whenever possible. Most of all, he enjoyed and cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Donna Roy; brothers, Kevin Roy and Michael Roy.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kelly Roy of Union; daughter, Danielle Roy and husband Dan Herman of Chicago; son, Joshua Roy and wife Genevieve of St. Louis; granddaughter, Audrey Herman of Chicago; grandson, Sebastian Herman of Chicago; brother, Richard Roy and wife Linda of Virginia; sister, Karen Cooper and husband Scott of Hillsboro; other relatives and many friends.
