Patrick Wayne Baird of Union, MO passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the age of 60 years.  He was born December 16, 1963 in Upland, CA; the son of Richard Baird and Patricia (Osborn) Baird.  He was united in marriage to Jean (Shelton) on June 7, 2008 in Washington, MO and the couple made their home in Union.

Patrick loved music and was especially proud of the fact that he taught himself to play the guitar.  He was a huge St. Lous Cardinals fan and enjoyed working on bicycles and barbecuing.  He had a huge spot in his heart for his dog, Sasha, and was particularly devastated when she recently passed.  The time Patrick cherished most was the time spent with his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Patricia Baird.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Baird of Union; two daughters: Heather Pruessner and husband William of Washington, and Sara Sheffield and husband Michael of Battle Creek, MI; four grandchildren: Kelley Baird, Eli Baird, Margot Sheffield, and Harper Sheffield; three brothers: Bradley Hedgecorth of FL, Michael Hedgecorth of MI, and Stephen Hedecorth of St. Peters; two sisters: Terri Czerniewski and husband Don of AZ, and Monica McKinnon of Sullivan; a large family of in-laws who loved and cared for him; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
