Patricia Lynne Vanatta nee Albert, 63 of Union passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 in St. Louis. Mrs. Vanatta, daughter of the late Paul Albert and wife Chloe nee Hardin was born December 18, 1950 in Decatur, Illinois. On June 17, 1972 she was united in marriage to Rex Vanatta in Decatur, Illinois. Patricia enjoyed family camping trips and quiet time reading books by the lake. Her spare time was filled with spoiling her grandchildren at the movies or anyway she saw fit. She was a dedicated fan of her children and grandchildren's sports. She lived life to the fullest and had a very spontaneous nature. With her outgoing attitude she never met a stranger. Mrs. Vanatta was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Rex Vanatta of Union; two sons, Tony Vanatta and wife Ginny of Washington and Bryan Vanatta and girlfriend Charlene Geisler of Union; five grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Celina, Samantha and Chase; adopted mother to many close friends; other relatives and many friends.
