Patricia Sue Horton, age 85, of Villa Ridge, Missouri, passed away on August 12, 2026.
Born July 3, 1941, in Penrod, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Hestel and Mabel Morgan. She graduated from Hughes-Kirk High School in Beechmont, Kentucky, and later received an Associate’s Degree from East Central College, Union, Missouri.
At age of 14, she was baptized and became a Christian. A member of Pacific Church of Christ, she loved the Church.
She was joined in marriage on May 28, 1960, to Jerry Don Horton who survives. They moved from Kentucky to Missouri and were married for 66 years. They had two sons Gregory Don and Gary Scott who also survive along with daughter-in-law’s Melanie and Sabrina, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and siblings consisting of three sisters, Dorthy, Christine and Judy, and four brothers, Junior, Texal, Lyndell and Roger.
She loved her family and enjoyed cheering and watching her sons compete in many sports throughout their younger years. Always funning around, simple and innocent, she had an infectious laugh, generous spirit, and voice of reason. She was a homemaker and had a love for cooking.
She was a longtime St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball fan. Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley were among her favorite singers. A skilled morel mushroom hunter and an expert Rook player, she strictly adhered to ‘Kentucky rules.’ In these passions, there was none better.
