Patricia "Patty"
Cook-Watson
March 16, 1959 – October 28, 2025
Patricia "Patty" Sue Cook-Watson of St. Clair, Missouri, was born March 16, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri. Patty peacefully left this world to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the age of 66 years.
Patty received her education from St. Clair High School and East Central College, earning a degree in building construction technology. She was a member of Mercy Ministries in St. Clair. She was united in marriage to Richard Watson on August 16, and the couple shared thirty-seven years together before his passing on March 31, 2021.
Patty enjoyed tending to her plants and flower gardens and traveling to new places. But the place that truly held a special place in her heart was the beach. The beach was Patty's sanctuary, where she found peace in the rhythm of the waves and searching for seashells. She was an artist at heart; she loved painting ocean scenes.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Watson; her parents, Ollie Nissen and Arthur Hawkins; and one brother, Wayne Hawkins.
She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Stverak, of Robertsville, Kathren Douglas and husband Shannon, of Sullivan, and Emily Waz and husband Graig, of Byrnes Mill; five grandchildren, James, Brannen, Taylor, Clayton, and Brayden; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Evangeline; three brothers, Rodney, Travis, and Chris Nissen; special sister-in-law, Belinda Hawkins, of St. Clair; brother-in-law, John "Jack" Watson and wife Gail, of Illinois; nieces, nephew, and other relatives and friends.
A floral arrangement honoring her life to be sent to Mercy Ministries.
