Pamela Sue Schwarzen, lovingly known to family and friends as Pam, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 70.

Pam was born on February 16, 1956, in Starkville, Mississippi, to the late Barnes O. and Wilda Eloise (McCoy) Whitt. She made her home in Washington, Missouri, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and friendship.

Pam worked as a secretary at a university in Mississippi and was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Washington. She was also a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and celebrated 41 years of sobriety, a milestone that reflected her strength, perseverance, and desire to encourage others.

More than anything, Pam cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed shopping, dining out, and spending time with those she loved. Her special dog, Chloe, brought her great joy and companionship. Pam never met a stranger and will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and the lasting friendships she made throughout her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Roland Schwarzen of Washington, Missouri; her son, Jacob "Jay" Hepner of Washington, Missouri; her daughter, Jacqueline "Jacqui" Brown of Washington, Missouri; her grandchildren, Hailey Travis and Kason Hepner; her special cousin, Sharon Salmon of West Point, Mississippi; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched.

A memorial service celebrating Pam's life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Washington at a later date.

Pam's legacy of faith, resilience, compassion, and unconditional love will be treasured always by all who knew her.
