Nancy L. Evans (Aylward), 76, of Lonedell, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at her home, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

On April 13, 1946, Nancy was born to the union of Donald Aylward and Margaret Schweppenstedde in St. Louis, Missouri.

Nancy was united in marriage to James "Jim" Evans on August 25, 1972, in Parma, Missouri.

Nancy loved spending time outside, she could often be found gardening or tending to her flowers. Nancy enjoyed many hobbies, such as crocheting, sewing, cooking and painting. She also enjoyed doing word searches and puzzle books. Nancy especially loved spending time with her cat, Oscar, talking on the phone, and taking trips to Walmart or thrift shops. Most of all Nancy loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Evans; her daughter, Carrie Evans; her parents, Donald Aylward and Margaret Nagelmiller; one grandchild, Danielle Cross; and one great-grandchild, Isabella Phillips.

Nancy is survived by two sons, Ron Evans and wife Sheila of St. Louis and Danny Evans of Spickard; two daughters, Pamela Moon and husband Jeffrey of Union and Melinda George and husband Steve of Grubville; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations are appreciated to the Open Door Sanctuary of House Springs, from which Oscar was adopted.
