Obituary

Nancy Cook, 70, of St. Clair passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in St. Clair. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker. She was born August 10, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Carl and Rita O'Neil. Beginning at age 9 she became an accomplished vocalist, pianist, guitarist and violinist, from which she garnered many competition awards and performed professionally for 10 years. She then put that aside in 1963 and devoted herself to working and raising her son as the best mother she could be. In 1974 she moved to Ballwin, Missouri and married and the family was supposed to become as one. In 1990 she moved to St. Clair, Missouri. Nancy loved living in the small, peaceful and friendly town of St. Clair amidst all the friendly residents. Friendships formed, some of whom became "like family" to her. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Bobby" Cook on March 19, 2005; her mother Rita O'Neil in 1992 and her father, Carl O'Neil in 1994 both of Massachusetts.
