Obituary

Nancie Jean Gildehaus, of St. Clair, passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born in St. Louis on October 17, 1953, to Bill and Rose Dulworth (née Creely).

Nancie earned her associate's degree and worked as a computer analyst, but her favorite role was bartending at the VFW in St. Clair, where she formed many lasting friendships. She had a wide range of interests, from racing cars—continuing even into her seventh month of pregnancy with her first child—to gardening and cooking. Above all, being a mother and "G-ma" was her greatest joy and blessing. Her proudest accomplishments were her children, all of whom share a close relationship with the Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her loving children: Tim Rice and wife Maria of Naples, Florida; Mandy Palmer-Rice and wife Angie of St. Clair, Missouri; Amy Pellin and husband Jeremiah of Hermann, Missouri; Rob Rice and wife Niki of Washington, Missouri; Tommy Rice and wife Danielle of Camdenton, Missouri; Kate Rizenbergs and husband Chris of Richmond, Kentucky; and Kayla Williams and husband Dylan of St. Clair, Missouri. She is also survived by her cherished stepdaughters, Jodie Gildehaus of Villa Ridge, Missouri, and Amy Francis and husband Brian of Union, Missouri.

Nancie was the proud grandmother of 22 grandchildren: Nadia, Sophia, Mary, Rose, Charlie, Max, Henry, Brooks, Arie, Hazleigh, Mercedes, Alexis, Gabby, Isabell, Remi, Lela, Avery, James, Daisy, Ally, Eliot, and Carver.

She is further survived by her siblings, Susan Leggett, David Dulworth, and Lisa Dulworth; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Nancie was preceded in death by her parents.

In closing, we will use Nancie's favorite way to end a conversation with those she loved: "Bye for now."
